Sorry we’re a little later with this than we’d originally planned, but hey…better late than never, right? In case you missed our last edition (featuring Katy Perry), these installments take a celebrity and hypothesize what that person would buy if he or she were to walk into Mountains Plus looking for a tent, backpack, and sleeping bag.
Our celebrity this week is one of the most well-known and highest-regarded musicians of his generation, Mr. Bob Dylan himself. Here’s what we came up with:
Tent – Hennessy Explorer Deluxe Asym Hammock. OK, we realize it’s not a traditional “tent,” but come on; this is BOB DYLAN we’re talking about, here. He’s not exactly a traditional guy. For some reason, it’s just easier for us to picture him in a hammock, gazing up at the stars between two trees, than it is for us to picture him in a tent.
Backpack – The Rambler by Mission Workshop. This one was a no-brainer. Bob’s a rambler and a gambler, so what better choice than the pack named for him?
Sleeping Bag – Big Agnes Peggy SL 15. Yes, we know the Peggy is a women’s specific bag, but Bob’s a minimalist and we think it’s pretty unlikely he’d use a sleeping bag in the first palce. He’s more the type who’d use a poncho or blanket for warmth. But for those nights he spends with Peggy Day, the Peggy seems like the most suitable option.
